Oh....hello...

I apologize.  I haven't written since February.

Yeah, I know, I know. I was going to do product reviews...blah blah blah..

It's not my fault you believed me.

Anywho. It's hard to write sometimes. I always have stuff that sounds good in my head, but I forget before I type it out, which is why I will never be a bestselling author.

So what has been happening the past few months..(4th of July? I mean I swear yesterday was Easter....)

-Went to a wedding
-Got to see B pretty toasted at said wedding, which is something I don't get to see often
-C went to his first egg hunt...still didn't "get it". Oh well...next year.
-C got new braces
-C is walking so much better with or with out said braces
-B turned 30... EFFFF....we're getting old. :(
-It Works biz is doing fantastic
-Paying off bills
-Trying to become a minimalist...

Wait, what? What's that?? A minimalist?

Yeah...I'm tired of all the stuff we have. I turned 31.5 and had this crazy overwhelming feeling of being consumed by...well stuff. Unfortunately, I'm so overwhelmed with stuff, I can't find a place to start, which is overwhelming (thank goodness for Confianza).

Yesterday, I started in our bedroom....and have 8 bags to go to Goodwill so far. I'm not finished yet. I still have a whole house and a basement left (baby steps E, baby steps). I did however, manage to start posting things I'm selling like a crock pot and a bread machine (if you are one of said people, I swear, we will meet up soon!) I mean, I barely buy bread...why did I need to take my mom's old bread machine?

I'm also learning to say no. No, I do not want the stuff of yours you do not want. Thank you though.

What even sparked this whole, wanted to post a blog today, was that I was looking for the remote. Apparently, there is going to be a documentary on the 90's on 7/6 and I wanted to make sure the DVR recorded it. I live for nostalgia lately; the 90's channel on Pandora is bringing back some great memories of grade school and high school!

Then I had all this great stuff I wanted to write....then it escaped me. Grrrr.. Oh well.

Later, -e

ps - I found the remote, under a pillow. ;)

Have you tried that crazy wrap thing?

So remember back in July when I mentioned that I became a distributor with It Works!?

Well I'm still working with it, and I've decided to start reviewing products on my blog. There are many skeptics out there, hell, I was one of them. But, I tried the products and I love them!

So without further rambles:

The Ultimate Body Applicator

This fabulous little wrap will tighten, tone and firm skin in 45 minutes! Seriously!
9 out of 10 people will see results with only one wrap, that 10th person just needs to wrap again!

You can place the wrap anywhere on your body! Wraps can even be cut in have for your arms or legs, or smaller if you want to wrap your chin/neck!

The botanical based gel on the wrap is all natural!

Here are some of my personal results:

Inspiration

I've recently have been inspired to write more.

I give that credit to my dear friend, Maya (if you click her name, you can see her fabulous blog!)

She blogs often and I love reading what she has to say!

Going along with the theme of this post, what inspires you?

I'm inspired by my friends and family. I'm inspired by my son, who surprises me daily. I'm inspired by my It Works! team. I'm inspired by Pintrest and Polyvore. I'm inspired by music.

I hope that I can become inspirational. Even if I could touch one person, that would be awesome!

Have a great Monday everyone!

Feel free to leave your inspirations in the comments!

Happy 2014!

Well, it's that time again. Time for the obligatory "NYE Resolution" list.

You know, the one where it says, loose 20 lbs, go to the gym everyday, blog weekly. The promises we make but never keep and just promise the same ones in 12 months.

So this year my promises are ones I know I will keep, but I'm promising to do more of:

1. More kisses. Obviously, I give plenty of kisses to my husband and my son....but I'm going to start giving more!

2. More pictures. At least one picture of C a day, everyday. More when he does super cute things.

3. More stories. I try to read one before bed, but C has a mad stash of books. He also got a Highlight subscription for Christmas. I need to read more too....I'm still halfway through the 3rd 50 Shades book...I should probably finish it before the movie comes out.

4. More time. I need to keep telling myself, "I'll sleep when I'm dead." I'm only 31 for crying out loud, not 81. Clean during the week, so I can do nothing but fun on the weekends. Spend more time playing and teaching C, then playing on my phone and watching TV. Shower at night, so I can have breakfast in the morning.

5. Curb my anger. I have a short fuse. I.hate.it. It's time to start taking deep breaths and staying calm.

6. Advance higher with It Works. I can only go up from here! Time to pull out all the stops!

And you know, lose weight, go to the gym and blog weekly.... ;)

Happy New Year!

Happy Birthday To You....

My son turned 2 last Saturday.

It was a big deal....huge. Two years ago, our lives looked something like this.

A diagnosis. Surgical procedures. Hospital days. Specialists. Tests. Chicago.

Two years ago, it all was a hard pill to swallow.

But I'm not writing to dwell on the past.

Though developmentally behind, my son never stops amazing me. He's smart. He picks up things quick. For example, he picked up the sign for please and no one really taught him it.

Just now, Katy Perry's "Roar" was playing...he "roared" (something he just started doing). Amazing.

He had surgery to correct his eyes from crossing at the beginning of October. To be honest, I was sad to loose my innocent, cross eyed baby. But seeing the strides he has been making in just 3 weeks have been awe inspiring. I mean, the kid is eating with a fork (most of the time, he still thinks his hands are faster ;) ).

He's so curious now. Probably because he can see better. I'm so excited for what his future holds.

This little ramble was not how I thought it out in my head, but it will do.

Late-errrrr

9/11

I am 31 today.

12 years ago I was 19. I had no idea that this day would become a national day of mourning. That asshat people would fly planes into buildings and destroy peoples lives. That for the rest of my life, when carded, would be told "Oh, what a sad day to have a birthday." My heart goes out to everyone affected that day.

11 years ago, I was 20. I had new friends, new adventures, new passions. I was becoming a new person, but yet still trying to find out who I was.

10 years ago, I was 21. At 12:01 am I was at a bar for the first time with all of my amazing friends. I felt brand new (even though I didn't really feel that way the next morning). I knew that this was going to be the best time of my life.

9 years ago, I was 22. I had had a steady boyfriend for the last 4 months, and it didn't seem to be a real deal. I was scared and nervous that things wouldn't last, but I tried to take our relationship 1 day at a time.

8 years ago, I was 23. I was still with that guy, and things were great. I felt that everything was perfectly in place in my life. It hadn't been in a while.

7 years ago, I was 24. Still with that same guy, still loving life.

6 years ago, I was 25. I moved out for the first time (even though it was only a couple blocks away). I was nervous to be a quarter of a century, but excited for my new adventures.

5 years ago, I was 26. Same guy, new house and engaged! What an awesome new journey!

4 years ago, I was 27. Married. New job. Going back to school. I got to travel and see new places. We also got a new dog!!

3 years ago, I was 28. Got my Medical Billing Certificate. We also got another dog :)

2 years ago, I was 29. I had my first baby. I became the momma to the most special boy ever. I wasn't ready for this journey, but I had no choice.

Last year, I was 30. I was so scared to start the next decade of my life. 30...I used to think that was so old. Now, it just feels like nothing but a number.

I am 31 today.

I have big plans for this year, and I hope you all come with me for the ride.

■Got to have a real first Christmas at home
■Celebrated being in our home for 5 years
■Celebrated being with B for 9 years and married for 4 years
■ Found a new love for craft beer
