Sleep

Sometimes, as a parent, you end up with  3 year old on your bed.

You look at that 3 year old, and see the 2 year old, the one year old, and the baby, who once occupied that spot.

It's hard to imagine that baby; it seems like forever ago.

The happy times, the hard times, the indifferent times.

But then you look at that boy (or girl ) and realize the present.  You're sweet baby is 3. Right now they are sucking on a pacifier, attached to a monkey....But that is minor details. Tomorrow, they will just get older, more dependent. They will need you less.

So when that 3 year old needs the occasional Thursday night slumber party, oblige.
Let it happen.

One day, the term slumber party will have a different meaning....and it won't involve you.

Food for thought..

Happy New Year

So, another year has passed and a new one has started.
Out with the old,  in with the new.

What new adventures are you embarking on?

For starters, I'm dying my hair a crazy color old E would never dream of picking..... I mean, it's just hair, right?

I'm also,  like millions, are starting a diet.  I've gained so much weight I want to vomit. (No,  that's not my plan) I'll also be pushing myself to exercise.

In an effort to experience more things,  I'll be participating in a Pinterest challenge,  in which I do something popular on Pinterest daily. (Yeah,  maybe I'll blog about it)

I'm also on a quest this year to pay off my debt and minimize the buildup of crap in my home.

I also want to get back into It Works.
And take more pictures.
Blog more
Maybe try vlogging.

I want to have an amazing 2015.

What about you? What are your goals for the year?

2 months later.

I'm still a crappy blogger.

But what has been going on.....

C turned 3
Ugh. 3. Where did my baby go? I feel like I'm missing out on everything....except the meltdowns. He must save those for me.

Actually, to be fair, the week before 3 until a week after 3, he was awful. Tantrums, meltdowns, no, no, no to everything. Either it was just the transition or I've tuned them out. He's been pretty normal lately...except for bedtime. *barf*

C started school
For the last 3 years, C has had therapists come over to the house on Tuesday afternoons. So he would get physical therapy, developmental therapy, speech therapy and vision therapy all in our home. When he turned 3, he "aged out" of the program (Early Intervention) and transitioned to a school based program through our school district. He only goes in the mornings and then gets transported to the park district's Child Development Center (fun fact: I used to work there) where he has lunch, takes a nap and plays until I get him at 5. Like every other time he has transitioned care, he has thrived. His speech is better and better as well as his understanding of what we are saying to him. It's amazing how he has changed in the month he has been going to his new schools.

We're remodeling the kitchen
So....B's parents upgraded their kitchen with new cabinets and counter tops. We decided to take their old cabinets, which are 18 years newer than our current cabinets and in a lot better shape. There are also more of them.

We're starting our 4th week....No, I'm not so happy. When we bought the house, we tore down a wall that separated the kitchen from the living room... we rebuilt part of the wall, halfway up, to "house" the new cabinets. B has been muding the wall to make it even and fill in any holes, which we found a significant sized one after we took off some of the wall cabinets. If the muding and sanding ever finishes, maybe we can paint, hang cabinets and put down some counter top...then half of the kitchen will be done! We will do the second half after the holidays since it really isn't as much as the current side we are doing. Because the kitchen is torn apart, I haven't been able to cook so we've been eating out....A.L.O.T. *BARF*

Christmas is almost here
Because it's already in my damn face. Why can't the world just wait until Thanksgiving. I'm already over Christmas and Thanksgiving hasn't even come yet.

So, in a nutshell...life is crazy.
I need a vacation
and a drink

Obligatory

So....
I missed the obligatory birthday post last week.

The one where I promise to write more
-to get my shit together
-that I'm on to something huge
-that my life will be perfect
-that reflects on the past 30+ years
-that is meaningful

EFF.THAT.

You'll all get mediocre posts ever few months and be happy with it.

Maybe if I don't promise I'll actually become successful with this blog. (bwahahahaha)

I had a super cool craft beer and bonfire party. Although, I don't remember a lot...I blame the lack of food. But the beers I did try, I really liked: Dark Horse Raspberry (I only remember drinking 1 of those and there is only 1 left...I bough a 6 pack) a few different pumpkin beers (Milwaukee Brewing Company's Sasquatch was really good!) and another I shared with a friend...Raspberry Truffle something. I don't remember the brand though, but I do remember how amazing it was!

It was low key and fun and I liked it.

And anyone who missed it, we can do round 2. I have enough beer to make it happen, just let me know what you are coming over. =-)

Oh....hello...

I apologize.  I haven't written since February.

Yeah, I know, I know. I was going to do product reviews...blah blah blah..

It's not my fault you believed me.

Anywho. It's hard to write sometimes. I always have stuff that sounds good in my head, but I forget before I type it out, which is why I will never be a bestselling author.

So what has been happening the past few months..(4th of July? I mean I swear yesterday was Easter....)

-Went to a wedding
-Got to see B pretty toasted at said wedding, which is something I don't get to see often
-C went to his first egg hunt...still didn't "get it". Oh well...next year.
-C got new braces
-C is walking so much better with or with out said braces
-B turned 30... EFFFF....we're getting old. :(
-It Works biz is doing fantastic
-Paying off bills
-Trying to become a minimalist...

Wait, what? What's that?? A minimalist?

Yeah...I'm tired of all the stuff we have. I turned 31.5 and had this crazy overwhelming feeling of being consumed by...well stuff. Unfortunately, I'm so overwhelmed with stuff, I can't find a place to start, which is overwhelming (thank goodness for Confianza).

Yesterday, I started in our bedroom....and have 8 bags to go to Goodwill so far. I'm not finished yet. I still have a whole house and a basement left (baby steps E, baby steps). I did however, manage to start posting things I'm selling like a crock pot and a bread machine (if you are one of said people, I swear, we will meet up soon!) I mean, I barely buy bread...why did I need to take my mom's old bread machine?

I'm also learning to say no. No, I do not want the stuff of yours you do not want. Thank you though.

What even sparked this whole, wanted to post a blog today, was that I was looking for the remote. Apparently, there is going to be a documentary on the 90's on 7/6 and I wanted to make sure the DVR recorded it. I live for nostalgia lately; the 90's channel on Pandora is bringing back some great memories of grade school and high school!

Then I had all this great stuff I wanted to write....then it escaped me. Grrrr.. Oh well.

Later, -e

ps - I found the remote, under a pillow. ;)

Have you tried that crazy wrap thing?

So remember back in July when I mentioned that I became a distributor with It Works!?

Well I'm still working with it, and I've decided to start reviewing products on my blog. There are many skeptics out there, hell, I was one of them. But, I tried the products and I love them!

So without further rambles:

The Ultimate Body Applicator

This fabulous little wrap will tighten, tone and firm skin in 45 minutes! Seriously!
9 out of 10 people will see results with only one wrap, that 10th person just needs to wrap again!

You can place the wrap anywhere on your body! Wraps can even be cut in have for your arms or legs, or smaller if you want to wrap your chin/neck!

The botanical based gel on the wrap is all natural!

Here are some of my personal results:

Inspiration

I've recently have been inspired to write more.

I give that credit to my dear friend, Maya (if you click her name, you can see her fabulous blog!)

She blogs often and I love reading what she has to say!

Going along with the theme of this post, what inspires you?

I'm inspired by my friends and family. I'm inspired by my son, who surprises me daily. I'm inspired by my It Works! team. I'm inspired by Pintrest and Polyvore. I'm inspired by music.

I hope that I can become inspirational. Even if I could touch one person, that would be awesome!

Have a great Monday everyone!

Feel free to leave your inspirations in the comments!
